In 2019, and at the beginning of a global pandemic, I began to work with assistants to document, scan and print my archive, consisting of photography created over three decades: the 90s, 2000s and 2010s (1991- 2021). To select the images for my archive I had to go through multitudes of negatives and digital files in storage. Although many of these photographs have been included in my portfolio through the years I’m most grateful to have discovered new images, that were not considered relevant to me at the time of shooting. These are the small treasures that I am thrilled to share within my 30 year archive, and this book. They are images taken throughout my career as a photojournalist, an editorial photographer, a traveler, and an artist.

The XXX Archive is made up of over 2500 printed small works are custom stamped and stored in archival boxes at my studio in Vancouver, B.C. Some of the pieces were printed the year they were produced and considered most valuable. Others recently printed have been designated editions of three. The images selected for this book represent the diverse subjects and locations from the archive. The archive is also available and can be viewed online, and a complete listing is included at the back of the book. This book is divided into three decades to indicate a precise timeline and evolution, and includes a personal summery of the decade. You will also find a short written essays by individuals that have witnessed my career first hand, or have written about my work extensively in the past.
